Chris Evans always stands out for me. He wasn’t getting major roles, and the movies he had a big role were like “not another teen movie”.
Then he landed captain America and his whole life turned around.
Hollywood started giving him some lead roles. Snow piercer in particular stands out for me. As it wasn’t a huge box office success (I don’t think it had a world wide theatrical release, I could be wrong tho) but got overall pretty great reviews.
He pretty much went from a B lister to a super star practically over night.
What other celebrities went from minor roles or b movies to successful A listers?
Edit: by lucky break I mean something fell in place where everything lined up perfectly to give the actor the opportunity to make the big break.
Like a commentator below mentioned. High jackman originally didn’t get the role as Wolverine, it was russel crow. He turned it down though and Hugh got it, and it’s history from there.
That’s an example of a lucky break. And that’s the kind of stories I’m looking for. Not a bunch of repeat comments telling me how “EvErY HollYwOod ActOr HaD a LuCKy BreAk”
Ya we get it, they all are lucky. I’m talking about the select few who got even luckier.
