Boring is one way to put it. I thought the pace was slow but I was never bored. The pacing is really what made me like it so much. I didn't want a Batman action movie. I wanted a Batman detective thriller.

Yeah, I agree with this. I thought the pacing was just right compared to the film's runtime (which, tbf, was a little overkill). But I saw the movie twice in the theaters when it was out and I loved it both times. I've probably seen it fifty more times since then, lmao.

I do agree that the first half was the stronger section of the film, but also I liked the climax where it's revealed that the Riddler has this secret internet army willing to do his bidding. It was really interesting to me when I first saw it.

Detective movies can be abit faster man. But i understand why some people may like it

That's fair, too. Like, I'm not a huge fan of the Fast & Furious movies, but I can understand why action movie fanatics enjoy them.

Fair criticism tbh. Didn't bother me personally.

And also why was there no story to how batman learned to fight how catwoman learned to fight... It should have flashbacks with his parents to make us more emotional about his parents death
BuddhistSlater t1_iuact85 wrote
Wait, I thought you were saying this ironically at first. Because the fact that we see Batman's origin story in every movie has become a meme at this point, actually wanting to see more of that is a pretty unpopular take I think.
BlockofIce34589 t1_iuadt6z wrote
If anything, I like the way the movie tackles Bruce's parents' death. Not how they die, but why they die, with the Riddler, Falcone, and Alfred all having their own version of why they died, but the origin stays the same. I like that they went about it that way. That's just me, idk.
