So I'm just trying to find the name of this film where there's a relationship between a man and a woman, it's quite abusive, but sort of consensual, there's a lot of: I hit you, then you hit me back, then I hit you back stronger, then you hit me back stronger .... The story ends with the couple k*lling each other, while still it being a game for both? I can't really explain it. The relationship is toxic at its very essence what joins them together is the thrive of assaulting each other IG?

This sort of sounds like Bitter Moon from 1992. It's about a couple with in a tumultuous relationship, but I haven't seen it in years so I can't remember if there was a physically abusive aspect to the film.
