My friend moved by the Golden Gate Bridge, and I organically used my favorite line from Pineapple Express that I memorized years ago: "
"Man, I love the Golden Gate Bridge! Ive always wanted to see it! It was actually designed by M.M. O'Shaughnessy, my second favorite civil engineer, behind Hanskarl Mandell (Madison Square Garden)."
He was amazed i knew it and i let him think it was me lol.
Or recently my dad brought up "Bozo the Clown" and with a smile on my face i responded, "Who??" Then i watched as he blew up in a Costanza-esqe tirade.
"Youve never heard of Bozo the clown?! B-O-Z-O?"
"No, never heard of him. He some clown?"
"How have you never heard of Bozo?!"
"Ive heard of Eric the Clown..."
"This is crazy! I can't believe you've never heard of Bozo!"
"That's crazy? You're hung up on some clown from the 60s man!"
And this last one im gonna catch some flack for, but to me it's worth it. A line in The Dictator cracks me up so hard every time i hear it, and its one of the most terrible things you can say in public, but i couldn't help myself and will always maintain that it was 100% worth it.
Someone organically said, "I don't really like dating white people. I don't think I've had a white boyfriend since grade school."
"Well the darker races are less choosey."
But the looks and anger i recieved when I responded, and potential ban from Reddit for telling this story, will always be worth it to me.
