So, I started a project a few years ago to watch 150 movies from every year of the 80s. So far I've made it to 1983. I've watched 52 movies from 1983 so far. Below is my watch list. I'm also attaching a link here to a TV Guide style layout that has all of the places where these movies are streaming.

March 29th: Variety (R) USA/UK/Germany

March 31st: Something Wicked This Way Comes (PG) USA

April 3rd: My Brothers Wedding (R) USA

April 5th: Strange Brew (PG) Canada

April 7th: All The Right Moves (R) USA

April 10th: Conquest (R) Italy

April 12th: The Lift (R) Germany

April 14th: BMX Bandits (PG) Australia

April 17th: Easy Money (R) USA

April 19th: Joy Sticks (R) USA

April 21st: Yellowbeard (R) U.K.

April 24th: Scarface (R) USA

April 26th: L'Argent (R) France

April 28th: Educating Rita (R) U.K.

I write a review about each one and rank them on Letterboxd as I go. Here is my list so far: 150 Movies from 1983

Have you seen any of these? What did you think?

Nice project. Reminds of what another Letterboxd user, PUNQ, used to do when he'd watch everything from a given year.

I've seen a little less than half of what you've listed and liked All the Right Moves and Strange Brew the best.

My highest watched year so far (1987) has 75 films. I can't imagine 150 lol.

Woof, when Psycho II gets a higher rating than The Outsiders and a half star less than Return of The Jedi I have to admit our tastes don’t quite align, haha. But I commend the effort as I am sure you’ll be sitting through some painfully boring movies as the year goes on!

My problem with personal reviews is that I don’t finish most of the movies I’d consider one star. And I don’t rate anything I haven’t finished. So that just leaves we with no movies below two stars. I have the same problem with books and video games. So I appreciate you setting a task out and following it through, even though I really don’t think I could do it!

That’s fair, ultimately it should convey your opinions and your opinions alone. I still wish you luck on your journey and commend the effort! Also, when I look at my reviews I’m constantly questioning my own thought process when I reviewed this or that movie, so I get the shifting over time for sure.
