Favourite Director?

Who is your favourite director and why? Mine is David Lynch! I always respect a director more when he has written the screenplay himself just like I respect a singer who writes his/her own lyrics. I find David Lynch movies are just so crazy and out there. There is nothing else out there that can compare to his style of writing and directing in my opinion. The way he messes with your head making you think you've got it all figured and then he just throws this massive bombshell and you are like "WTF"
