We should just make fish out of glass bottles. Then we wouldn't have to worry about them all disappearing from the oceans.

Ahhh… glass flavor chefs kiss

In my experience, glass tastes an awful lot like blood.

Love that they put bananas next to foam cups so youll be less scared of the implications. Because polystyrene and plant fibers totally decompose in the same way and no one has ever heard of forever chemicals.

Just stop the companies that are dumping it in the ocean. Problem solved.

Agreed 100%. There was another sign in there talking about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch that is roughly two times the size of Texas and how roughly half of the garbage mass comes from synthetic fishing nets.

Does decompose equals disappear? I feel like plastic decomposing just means it turns into microplastics.
Doodle-bugg OP t1_j5v47tg wrote
Plastic technically goes through photodegradation, where it is broken down by the sunlight until it is so tiny that it is essentially invisible
Orange_comfort t1_j5v9vpg wrote
So, microplastics.
Doodle-bugg OP t1_j5vbfhe wrote
Basically. Microplastics eventually become nanoplastics, and these are everywhere, including in what we eat, drink, and breath.
