That's because 13 is considered an unlucky number in a lot of places and with their landings they need all they luck they can get.

Yep, this isn't uncommon. Many buildings have no 13th floor, many hotels have no 13th room, many streets have no 13th house.

Dumb people get to make some pretty big decisions.

Is that why I’m miserable at my job? Because I work on the 13th floor?

Most flights usually don’t due to superstition

Which, to be honest, isn't a quality you'd want in a company dealing in flighted transit.

What's really interesting is that this low-cost airline might still SELL you tickets to row 13.

A few days ago a couple of travelers boarded the plane and couldn't find their seat. The stewardesses were baffled as well.

EDIT: Apparently there was a last-minute switch of planes and some of them do have this number, while other don't.

Every flight I’ve been on recently had no row 13. I think it’s more so for the sake of the passengers who may refuse to sit there due to superstition.

There are also a lot of buildings that don’t have 13th floors. Interesting thing to look out for when you’re in elevators!

Wait until you get into an elevator and see the floor numbers.

Last time I was in a hotel, they did skip floor 13, but, there wasn’t even a floor 5,6,7,8 either

Those floors lead to a liminal space that it only accessible during "lost" hour of a daylight savings transition.

I should keep a tally on how many people don’t know this on Reddit

I’ve never been on a plane with direct seat numbers. Like sure, there’s a row number but then there’s an alpha character for the actual seat. Window starboard would be 13A and window port would be 13F. But I’ve never seen just “seat number 13” as a thing on a plane.
