And now we know how the pyramids were made.
FUCKYFUCKFUCKYFUCK t1_iyekixz wrote
Maybe this was how the pyramids were made, giant salt crystal that overtime turned to sandstone and it just looks like bricks because of how the salt formed, all the Egyptians did was carve out tunnels and rooms, I think we solved it people!

Did all antic cultures which builds pyramids steal the idea from observing this natural process? 🧐

How?
bigots_hate_her t1_iydqipl wrote
Easy, fill a container with water, saturate it with salt, preferably flakey, dissolve it, and then let it exposed so that it starts drying. Collect the flakes as they build up.

Wow, so cool, I love it. What was the process to do this? How long did it take? I ask because I'd like to try to make some. Thank you for sharing.

He literally posted the method in his original post. It's still the top comment as I type this.

it is interesting, its pyramid table salt

I think pyramid shaped salt crystals are really cool.
Since this kind of salt is pretty expensive, I decided to try to make some myself, using regular table salt. I think they turned out pretty well. If anyone's interested, here's the method I used.
It's amazing how nature forms these intricate shapes from something as simple as salt. Maybe our ancestors got some inspiration from them too...
Oh well, they taste good.
