They also still sell the fried apple pies (maybe shorter, though), and their ice cream machines aren't always broken.

Cheese dunk? I just realised my life has been completely wasted and pointless.

Everyone talking about the cheese dunk, understandably, but I want to know more about McSpaghetti.

Ugh..I don't even know what that is. Weird name tho. I am vegan tho so I haven't been to McDonald's in like 15 years or something so I have no idea if that's even a thing here in the US.

Almost all fast food chains in the Philippines has fried chicken with gravy and rice, even Burger King. They're competing with Jollibee's menu.
"McDo" is their nickname, like "Maccas" in Australia or "Mickey D's" I guess. The "Chicken McDo" is what they call their fried chicken.
They also have a "Burger McDo" which is their budget burger, a patty (maybe different from their regular patty) in a plain bun (no sesame seeds) and sauce.

At one point McDonald's Philippines also offered free gravy in select branches, to compete with KFC, which was the first to have the promo back in 2012. Anyone can just walk to the gravy pump and have unlimited refills.

They really love fried chicken and that weird spaghetti in the Philippines.
bryle_m t1_je0dbyi wrote
Our spaghetti is weird mainky because of post-WW2 scarcity of tomatoes. Thus we developed banana ketchup as substitute. Even decades after the war, the palates got accustomed to that sweet spaghetti.
McDonald's Philippines introduced the McSpaghetti in 1986 and has remained popular since.

What about the mushroom pepper steak?
a4techkeyboard t1_jdr07na wrote
It's a hamburger steak (a burger patty or 2) with a peppery mushroom gravy over rice.

In Philippines the local chain Jollibee have it so McDonald's tries to fight competition
