Down here in Miami, these iguanas are all over the place. Supposedly, they're an invasive species, and that could be, but they're still cool to look at. Some of these iguanas are huge and easily over 3 feet long from head to tail.
Some people here eat them.

I didn't know that. The mating signal they do has always creeped me out.

Ok cool! It seems to be only South Florida but they could easily be in other parts of the state.

Thereโs a mall (actually not sure if it still exists) in Hialeah called Westfield, formerly Westland (aka Wasteland mall ๐) that has a canal behind it by the parking lot. There were always huge iguana colonies sun bathing there. Dozens of them.
