Yes and the vast majority of people don't ever use them for those purposes. 75 percent of truck owners only use their truck for towing/hauling something other than grocery's 1 time or less a year.

I'm curious where they derived that information. I wouldn't be surprised if people in large cities rarely haul much, but where I live that's got to be about opposite. I'm on the road with trucks pulling horse trailers every day, beds loaded with welders and equipment. 75% of the trucks I see are regularly used for their intended purposes.

It's definitely different in more rural environments. I live in Vegas and most vehicles in the roads are massive trucks that are just pleasure vehicles.
