Grocery stores have sold live herbs and other various types of plants for decades.

It has a flower pot with an holes in the bottom, it’s so that you can transfer it to a bigger planter or the ground

I fell for it , then went out of town, dead fresh herbs. It's like plan ahead, menu,when you're cooking, etc. Not just willy nilly, after a glass of wine, then think your going to cook something.

Fried sage leaves are a real thing.

Plants need watering, yes.

I buy these in the grocery store and plant them. They're far cheaper than the herb plants sold at Lowe's/Home Depot, and actually tend to grow much better.
