Very normal for ibuprofen. It can (probably will) cause nausea on an empty stomach. Milk coats your stomach helping keep the medicine from causing nausea. Learned this the hard way when I was a teenager and fractured my leg.

Generic prescription Ibuprofen is generally cheaper than even the store brands. It was probably 4 dollars for this, and it's quadruple strength.

NSAIDS can cause nausea if taken on an empty stomach and ulcers if taken in high enough doses for an extended period of time. Having food in your stomach cushions the stomach against the medication.

Yeah anything that coats your stomach is great for NSAIDs. Milk or food but at 800mg I’d opt for food.
