my oven doesn't have numbers just up and down.. starts at 170°F and never needed to go over 475°F

my microwave is above my stove and actually has a light button, that turns a light on underneath it, to illuminate the cook surface of my stove

My oven turns a light on when I knock 2 times. Like some sort of gnome lives in there.
