When I was in college there was a Whole Foods down the street from my dorm building and tweakers would post up outside and sell stolen steaks. There was also a kitchen on every floor of the dorm building and it was common for people to be in there cooking up steaks, so stealing meat has definitely been a thing because this was back in 2008.

Yep, Aldi does this on a lot (or all?) of their beef. Even Aldi stores in perfectly safe neighborhoods, despite what that one comment implies.
