I would have put it like this (I'm not a vegan)

Vegan: I'm a vegan but I understand humans are naturally omnivores so I wont be a dick about it.

Non vegan: I eat meat but I wont gloat about it because I understand you think it is murder. l dont want animals to be tortured, so I avoid factory farming.

Factory farming is fucked in countless ways for example the chickens are humongous. I have free range chickens who eat a plentiful and are half the size of those in factories. But also the prices on free ranged meat is higher which makes most people buy factory farmed meat.

If you are vegan by moral choice. What others are eating matters, because it doesn't matter if I'm the only one who's not committing murder.

That being said, I'm pretty moderate and appreciate the movement towards lab grown slabs of meat food, as long as the nutrients are roughly right they should be pretty good and not fake tasting(because you are growing meat without the brain and thus no sentience to kill)

I’m not saying vegans aren’t aloud to try to encourage people to switch to a vegan diet. As long as their not dicks about it and yelling and telling people they’ll go to hell or their the ones murdering animals. If they want to ENCOURAGE people not try to force them to switch then they should do it in a respectful manner such as explaining the facts and how they feel that killing an animal for consumption is wrong.

To each their own.

I’m vegetarian because I also like animals when they’re alive. If butchers are allowed to murder animals then we should be allowed to murder humans /j

Animals are so damn friendly, most animals are better than most humans (the rapists, pedos, racists etc). I can’t explain stuff very well because I suck at putting feelings into words but, compassion is what drives that

But blaming the consumers which most of them are just trying to feed themselves or their family and have no clue about the disgust factory farming is. I agree with encouragement and being respectful to the people your trying to encourage to switch. But being an asshole and calling them a murderers and vice versa for the non vegans gloating about eating meat is just straight up wrong. I completely disagree with factory farming but i also believe in you being able to choose what you eat and not having a different diet being forced upon you.

While I eat meat, I really try to only buy meat that is free range and I try to avoid the big corporations that likely mistreat their animals. I feel like it's a good compromise, plus I feel really bad when I see chicken trucks lol.

Disclaimer im not a vegan. BUT i believe if vegans chose that lifestyle for moral reasons, like believing killing and eating animals is actually murder then they're dicks if they dont try to make as many people stop as possible. If you just sit complicit with murder you might as well be a murderer yourself

It matters because there are victims involved

Yes but the point of this was stating to not be like the first two which both are in the wrong. Mutual respect to both sides is all it takes and if a vegan doesn’t wanna change that their vegan then a non vegan needs to respect that same goes for a non vegan who doesn’t wanna switch to vegan respect their choice and don’t be an asshole about it.
