It's Holyoke. They could fight WW3 there and most of it would fly under the radar. It's like the Vegas of Mass... What happens in Holyoke usually stays in Holyoke.
(I don't have good opinions of that town)

Considering Holyoke is pretty much in the dead center of western mass, you’re not wrong :P

Holyoke is not the center of Western Mass (neither geographically, politically, economically, socially, etc) and we should all be glad of that fact.
But especially geographically https://ontheworldmap.com/usa/state/massachusetts/map-of-western-massachusetts.jpg

I mean western mass really starts at Newton for many of us Bostonians so the statement seems more accurate 😂

The folks of Central Mass really do get ignored, eh? 😂

It’s beautiful out there for sure but to me it’s all basically Vermont once you pass Springfield lol

Once you go further West, yes, it does become more remote. The same is true if you go North and North, West. There are a few exceptions, such as Greenfield and Pittsfield, to name a few. But once you exit past Amherst or Westfield, depending on which way you're going (further north or further west), it's mostly country towns and woods.
