That's actually not a terrible idea.

Braintree residents had a meltdown when the mayor proposed redeveloping a decaying abandoned motel into housing. I can just imagine how this will Play out...

I haven't paid close attention but I wondered why it hadn't been converted to housing? Now I know .....

It’s also a terrible area. The Motel 6 spiraled downhill after a shooting occurred there: https://www.boston25news.com/news/controversial-motel-6-in-braintree-finally-closes-its-doors/837769064/

Why do you think this news article about something that happened at a hotel is relevant to it as a housing complex? Yeah the motel 6 was trash, but renovated into studios? You go from people there to save a buck, do drugs, or spend time with a SW are quite different than people at home....IMHO. What am I missing?

To clarify - They would've redeveloped the property, which means tearing down the Motel 6 and building a luxury apartment complex in its place.

There’s also a restaurant there that’s been abandoned for 15+ years now. It looks like it belongs in a jungle.

Have them build a gondola over the Braintree Split to connect the South Shore Plaza to Quincy Adams Station, then let them build as high as they want.
