I'm currently on a Masshealth plan with no premiums for being low income. My income has changed and I have to choose a plan with a premium for this year through the Health Connector, and already have an account from a few years ago.

However this is the link the Health Connector keeps giving me to shop for a plan. Once logged in I can only view my login/verification credentials. It doesn't display any of the steps or options that are shown here. It also won't let me apply for coverage as a new user, either.

How do I update anything and shop for a plan? The links all come straight from the Health Connector itself. Is there a different website I'm supposed to use?

You will remain eligible for Masshealth, even if your income changes. You can't enroll in a Health Connector plan.

Why can't I enroll in a plan? I never got information on plan renewal (the packets they send out each year). Do I have to worry about losing health coverage between now and Jan 1?

To elaborate, my income shot up a lot so I won't be eligible for the subsidized Masshealth plan I'm on.

You still qualify for Masshealth. Even if you make $100/hr. You can't enroll in a Health Connector plan when you qualify for Masshealth.

Do you know when this got extended until? I have clients that are confused and I didn’t happen to catch an end date.

There's no end date yet.

Can they legally bill me for services during the coverage date in the future? E.g. they repeal the protection of coverage in a few months, see I've been making more, and then back charge or back bill me for services during 2022 that we're initially covered by my insurance?

No, that would defeat the purpose of the protection

The site is a cluster fuck. The phone line is 1-877-623-6765 and the CSRs have been excellent in my experience.

Thank you! I will reach out to them for confirmation of what PolkaD0tMom said. During Covid when I moved back, they wouldn't let me on Masshealth and it was such a pain to get health insurance because of the site, which is why I thought they'd just give me the boot if I didn't confirm a plan
