Hello fellow Mass Peeps.

What would you do if you hear your doorbell go off- open up your door and there's a group of 12 mildly drunk 28 year-olds that start caroling 'Silent Night'?
I'm hosting Friendsgiving on Saturday and I'm trying to make this a thing. Most people are on board. I live in a small farm town and just want to make sure we don't get shot.

I'd like to think majority of neighbors will find it endearing or funny, and a few will be very annoyed and tell us to leave. I don't know, I've only seen this done in movies.

Do it. No later than 7pm. My family and I did it once down in Harwichport. We even met Tip O'Neill who was Speaker of the House at the time.

If you have somebody whose driving along (and not mildly drunk) you could also turn it into a collection drive for a local food bank. “Caroling for Cans.” Just make a sign explaining that’s what you’re doing.

Or just have fun singing for people. That works too.

Don’t come to my house. Take that annoying Christmas movie shit somewhere else

I'd probably threaten you if you came to my door, drunk especially. Sounds like a horrible idea...

I think it would be cute early in the evening! Just don't stand really close to the door, so they won't think you are trying to break in.

I detest people ringing my doorbell. I work 4 am to noon, and if you make my dog bark…I will NOT be merry.

But if you just walk around a downtown area singing, that’d be cool.

Daughter goes to her friends neighborhood and does this. Apparently it’s been a long tradition. Everyone enjoys it. Many people have hot chocolate or candy for kids.

That said. If anyone came to my door to sing might get the hose.
