From the Arbor Day Foundation: The Autumn Flowering Hingan Cherry is famous for its ability to produce lovely pink buds and white flowers off and on during a warm autumn season and then fully flower in the spring.

This is the answer. ‘Autumnalis’

Climate change is here!!! We needed the green new deal like yesterday

It's too late
RageAgainstThe t1_iw12dxk wrote
Yes. I've read there is a 10-20 year lag of effects from our yearly output of CO2 and methane. Meaning we are feeling the effects of what we burned around 2000. Plus humanity keeps breaking emission records every year
hyp0crite t1_iw2bghu wrote
Or we could consider the recent IPCC statement, global emissions need to drop 42% by 2030, but are projected to rise 10%.
The rate of change (warming) is accelerating. So the difference between every year should knock our socks off more than the previous year.
flamethrower2 t1_iw2dchl wrote
Emissions are global (what anyone burns affects everyone worldwide) and global emissions won't peak until 2030 according to estimates. Emissions have already peaked and are now falling in the US. That has localized effects on public health but won't help climate change.

How will it solve climate change?
TheLyz t1_iw17z43 wrote
Since capitalism is entirely motivated by money, we make it profitable to play by our rules (move towards green technologies) and expensive to ignore them (carbon tax).

You sound skeptical, which is natural, but I'm curious what strategy you support for combating climate change.

>Sealioning (also sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity ("I'm just trying to have a debate"), and feigning ignorance of the subject matter. It may take the form of "incessant, bad-faith invitations to engage in debate", and has been likened to a denial-of-service attack targeted at human beings. The term originated with a 2014 strip of the webcomic Wondermark by David Malki, which The Independent called, "the most apt description of Twitter you'll ever see".

I have read it. What will the green deal do to stop climate change?

You've read a proposal about a 10 year plan to massively switch to renewable energy and you don't know how that would help us to change our climate change trajectory?

Do you hear about the ozone damage anymore, no because we solved that. Do you hear about smog anymore, no we solved for that too. We’ll solve Co2 emissions as well, but like the rest it will take time and legislation. We could solve gun violence just as easily if not for knuckle dragging Republicans.
