So I had a warrant out for my arrest in 2020 and got arrested in 2020. Legit had no idea I had one but it was for a paperwork mixup that made the rmv think I was driving my car without insurance to the registration was revoked.

Long story short, that all got settled.

My license expires a week from Wednesday. I have a hold in my account still but have a form form the court house saying the warrant is removed and no longer exists.

I’m seeing something that I have to appeal it to the rmv board. I’m going out of town for the week and I’ve everything I need but don’t want my license to expire if I can’t just show them the form when j show up for my renewal.

Am k screwed or do you think they can just approve it there?

Thanks

Oh my I had this happen to me sorta. I was driving on a suspended license because when the RMV basically fell apart during covid, they confused me with my late dad and quietly suspended my license. I think it was also related to that accident in New Hampshire that put a microscope on the RMV.

I hired a lawyer (some real piece of work) to sort it out for me because I just couldn’t get an appointment, and/or didn’t know what the outcome may be.

Sorry, not helpful, just relating to the shit show it’s become.

Damn hired a lawyer? That’s wild. I recently finished binging suits so I’ll probably do it on my own if it gets that far

It was a “DMV lawyer” whom I assume does DUI stuff 99% of the time. He had a one time fee, not an hourly thing, and it was expensive but not too bad. Basically a month’s rent to get it sorted out. I’m not a 68 year old dead man so it was probably his easiest case in history, but he allowed for that information to get to the right people.

I got held up on my last renewal. They claimed I had an unpaid parking ticket from 30 years ago and I had to deal with the town that gave the ticket. I called them. They laughed and cleared it but it still took weeks for the rmv to catch ip

I not sure if you’ve thought about this but if you’re flying out of town and your license expires, security won’t let you on the plane with an expired license. You don’t want to get stuck across country without a valid license. Sorry I just watched the movie due date
