Anywhere in the state is good. Just know that we also have redneck towns. I would suggest living in or near an urban hub (Boston, Worcester, Springfield). Depends how close you want to be to the ocean. The closer you get to Boston the more outrageously expensive it is.

Thank you! We are ok with taking a break from the ocean. We live super close right now and it's amazing, but trying to new things is good too. Thanks for the heads up on the COL - that will be our biggest challenge

Cool! Check out the Pioneer Valley and the towns and cities along the Connecticut River. Beautiful, laid back, relatively affordable, and progressive.
