Worcester county divides eastern and central Massachusetts not eastern ans western MA.

Western MA is not divided by the Quabbin!

Western MA is not divided by the Connecticut river!

Western Massachusetts is:and only is the counties of Hamden,Hampshire,Franklin and Berkshire.End of arguement!

I divide Massachusetts into thirds.

  • West border to Springfield = Western Mass.
  • Springfield to Worcester = Central Mass.
  • Worcester to Coast + Cape = Eastern Mass

This is entirely arbitrary, but growing up north of Worcester, I always thought of Worcester as centered in Central MA. But I also didn't realize as a kid that Western MA goes that far. Your boundaries divide the state more evenly.

The Quaban is what I consider the center for eastern/western Massachusetts with the cape and islands separate.

Theres really not much MAGA western MA outside of Monson. Its not a generalization there are some nice looking hills in central but its mostly flat factory towns. Boston Im not a city guy but I get why people like access to all the stuff there. The rich nimbys would drive me insane.
