Kimchi

Kind of random but… does anyone know of a store on the south shore that sells Sunja’s kimchi?

I used to buy it all the time like 10 years ago but I don’t remember from where. I haven’t seen it at any local stores lately.

It’s good, no others compare that I know of.

Yes I know I can order it from the website but shipping is pricey… rather pick up locally like I used to.

I’m not sure but have you tried making your own kimchi? It’s super easy and you can adjust the taste how you like it. You can make a huge gallon jar of it for cheaper than buying a small one in the store.

You could try H-Mart. We go to the one in Burlington which isn't South Shore but maybe there's one down there. The H-Mart in Burlington has a big Kimchi section.

Ok cool, I thought WF might since I used to shop there more frequently. Do you ever visit Trader Joe’s? I was thinking perhaps they had it since I haven’t been to one in a while either.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen it on the shelves at Trader Joe’s, only their prices n house brand. I know Whole Foods in Newton and shrewsbury definitely carried it last I’ve been to either. Could imagine all other local locations would have it too.

Idk what Hmart is but maybe I’ll check Kam Man next time I’m near Quincy thank you for the reminder of that place.

H Mart is a big national Korean grocery chain. It’s brand new, just opened a few months ago near the Walmart just down the street from Kam Man. They have a small location in Cambridge - central square and another in Burlington

am Korean and my mom makes homemade kimchi, but H Mart Quincy might be a good place to look. I used to hit up H Mart Burlington all the time. At the very least you'll get some authentic stuff. Have tried generic brands from the grocery and they taste really weird.
