Here's a lofi track inspired by the sounds of a Prohibition era speakeasy staffed by burlesque dancers

I used an archtop guitar (Eastman AR403) into a Fender Twin, along with the Ibanez Mikro bass into a Fender Rumble, with the drums and keyboards composed using the stock Logic Pro libraries

For the music video, I rotoscoped footage taken from the 1942 short film "Dance of Shame" starring Faith Bacon as a burlesque dancer

We have finally gotten around to releasing songs 5 years in the making. This is the second single off our forthcoming EP Pluto & The Fool. We’re pretty stoked on it and if you’re a fan of progressive metal in the vein of Wheel, Spiritbox or Loathe, this may be up your alley.

I just released this, the second single to my debut EP that's coming out at the end of the week:

http://capgras-capgras.bandcamp.com/track/dry-ice-3

The best genre description I can give it is experimental bedroom pop/art punk.

I'd be glad for any and all feedback on it. If you check the description of the song, I am very aware of how rough my vocals are. In short, I try and explore and work within the stylistic tension between the smooth artificiality of GarageBand's instrumentation and my rough vocals and subversive lyrics that deal with identity and our terminally online existences.

My friend and I self produced this campy rock anthem a while ago which I forgot to share here. it would mean the world if people checked it out! I think its a fun song and we put a lot into the production to make it feel huge and magical.

Goth Hospital - We Are Vampires

rn theres also an acoustic live show of us performing with a string trio up if you wanna experience genre whiplash lol. we're releasing more stuff soon, all of it fun and spooky.

We’re a folk/folk punk/outlaw country band based in Germany. Here’s a link to our album Grounded from 2021. We’ve also got a couple of singles, and a couple of EP’s out there. I’m the songwriter and singer, and I’m originally from Canada, so if you were hoping to hear country music with a hilarious German accent, you won’t find it here. What will you find here? Songs about drinking, suicide, not drinking, car accidents, medieval wars, ex girlfriends, and more!!

The Eternal Returns - "Shining, Fading, Burning, Flickering"

A new release from my electronic/orchestral/industrial (combining influence of too many genres to list, but that's probably the gist of it) project. It's narrative music, telling stories without words. It is divided into four parts, each having its own distinct style, while also working within the context of a larger whole.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, EQ could use improvement across the whole thing, I guess. This was my first attempt at publishing music, (this includes mixing and mastering) and I still have a lot to learn.

I use Ableton Live. Any guess on the genre you think my music could be placed in?

I’ve been listening nonstop to ‘When the Man Comes Around’ by Johnny Cash, which I had heard before but never really listened to the lyrics too closely. Watching it used really well in ‘the Blacklist’ and this terminator sequel show is cool too, how it can be used to describe some ruthless assassin even though it’s really a religious piece about judgement day.

Check out “Melting Mannequins” by my prog rock band Funhouse Mirrors. The song switches genres constantly. At one point it goes from soft beachy vibes to the angriest punk while it’s all in odd time signatures. It also mixes many influences you wouldn’t expect working together such as Frank Zappa, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, and King Gizzard. It is just so weird and unpredictable. Please take a listen, I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.

Patche - Patche

Thick cosmic grooves of gently funky krautrock crafting heady jams of skewed and bluesy psychedelia

We Are The Willows - Deep Breaths

Tranquil compositions drifting through warm hopeful melody that aches with a dreamy pastoral reverence

Jonny G and The Music Factory - Life of Jonny

Expansive indie rock blowing down walls of intimate bedroom folk and letting in loose anthemic reverie

These and other albums are posted with embedded players on my wordpress. There’s also previous week's recommendations and a lot more music to discover. You can also check out my twitter where I post all the good songs that I discover daily.

My band April Weather released a double a-side single "Rain / Sweetest Obsession".

Rain is a pretty straightforward rock song, inspired by 60's rock songwriting like Led Zeppelin or Mid/Late period Beatles and by early 2000's indie like The Strokes or Arctic Monkeys.

Sweetest Obsession is an older recording but a newer song - mostly inspired by 90's alt rock and neopsychedelia (bands like Radiohead or Pond).

[Javier Torrealba -- Enredadera- electro/ambient/lo-fi/experimental-2023](https://open.spotify.com/track/1rBx2tKMOIVW6eXKnwm3d1?si=becf459648eb41fc )

I released my second album called Ceremonia last week. The track I want to show you is called Enredadera.

This album is a collection of 6 noisy, lo-fi, dreamy and sometimes odd-rhythmic tracks that were wobbling in my head for the past year. As with my previous releases the tracks were mixed and recorded straight to cassette using my old, dusty and trusty Tascam 244 portastudio. All tracks were recorded in one take with no overdubs using several different Moog synths and a Make Noise Shared System. The album was mastered by Taylor Deupree at 12kmastering studios.

Take it for a spin and tell me what you think!
