However, due to complete turf decline, this protection no longer exists, and it is evident that a significant amount of that topsoil has been washed away by erosion. (It should be noted as well that as an added protection after remediation, to preserve the grass, these areas of the Park were designated for passive recreation only - a guideline that has never really been observed by the community or successfully enforced.)”
