are you in the right subreddit? this is cool but i’m confused on how it relates to jersey city
edit never mind just saw the stickied post explicitly stating this is a contest in the sub. i saw this post initially from my home feed so didn’t have that context. carry on.

There's a portion of the wall in battery park city right by Brookfield Place! It's pretty cool seeing a part of history just plopped down in the park

Really? That's pretty cool! I'll have to definitely check that out.

Here's the location, its kind of hard to explain how to get there unless you know that area well (in which case its in the park to the right when you're walking from brookfield to treadwell park, by the le pain quotidien)

I go through there a fair amount, I'll definitely swing by on my next way through.

Super cool! We have a piece of the Berlin Wall here in Greenmarket Square in Cape Town, it was apparently donated to us at some point. The land mark is literally called Piece of the Berlin Wall. lol - I should go get a pic sometime.

TBF, this was only 5 years after the fall of the Wall. So there were large swaths of it just falling into urban decay. It wasn't until much later that people started to think to preserve it.
