Kitchen Step is great, but call to see if you can get a table that large.
Frankie Edward’s
Orale
Applebee's
+1 for Orale. They have the space and it’s a fun vibe for a birthday dinner. Beware of their frozen margs, they’re strong 🤪
The neighborhood grill.
Cellar 335, Mathew’s
Hudson Hound, they also have a private room but not sure how many it holds.
What am I missing about kitchen step? It’s so disappointing every time I go. I want it to be better, but it’s so mediocre compared to all of the other options in the area.
Second Cellar 335 for a group of 12. Their menu is oriented around shared plates, so ordering is simple, and their tiki-themed cocktails are great.
I feel the exact, same way - tables are elbow to elbow, drinks are served in tiny, glasses and food is good but it’s not my fave. Tried to like it 3x and still not there yet.
I don’t care about the seating, but the food just is not good. And they don’t have a happy hour :(
