Seriously! The most important piece of information has been left out.
Having said that, this wouldn’t be the first time a PEO incorrectly tickets a slew of cars for misunderstood (or, made up) regulations. It’s frustrating and annoying, and getting the tickets dismissed could be hit or miss. In this city, on any given day, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of cars parked illegally, or plainly and obviously violating some sort of parking regulation, but those are seldom ticketed. Cars blocking crosswalks, cars blocking bike lanes, cars too close to intersections, cars without parking permits in zoned areas, cars with expired parking permits, etc, are super common and yet those are seldom enforced.

I would be surprised if these officers dont have a quota they need to hit.

But, even if that was the case, the fact remains that ticketing cars in JC for VALID parking violations is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. You can't walk a half mile in this town without seeing crazy shit like people parked at crosswalks, or blocking hydrants, or blocking bike lanes, or way too close to the intersections, etc. Ticketing cars for questionable or made up violations seems like such a weird and inefficient way to meet a quota, but what do I know?
