Imagine running the biggest legal modern scam and swindling hundreds of thousands of dollars per student per year from government and student funds and somehow losing money

Are we talking about the current Jersey City administration or the just the university?

I think they just mean higher education in general. This school was trying to play real estate and apparently lost.

Sad, all it does is hurt the students

They couldn't stick with the student loan scam. They had to try to be developers

Jersey city and any public entity associated with them has an uncanny ability to mismanage funds

NJCU is not financially or organisationally associated with Jersey City.

The university has nothing to do with the City government…

Tell me more why we need a world class French managed brand name museum? Couldn’t possibly be the graft possibilities

The city is on the hook for whatever costs it incurs.

You know that won’t end well. That’s basically a blank check.

But remember the rules: gotta act surprised.

Do you have details on the agreement? I was trying to find it but couldn't. I know the city owns the building, but I thought Pompadou was covering operational costs, not the city.

Looks like Hudson county schools are going to be hard up for elementary school teachers and as well science teachers.

They lost me at the stupid name. JCU, fine. NJU, fine. CUNJ, fine. But they never should have gone for the dumb and insanely confusing NJCU rebrand.

as am alumni I can tell you NCJU was not one of the final options sent out for a vote

Hamilton University was one of the options (who could have foreseen that being a great choice!) as was City University of NJ (CUNJ... sounds like a dirty word in another language)
