Timothy Herrick would have us believe that “Christopher Columbus Drive is the Jersey City equivalent of Confederate statues – and as horrifying.” Mr. Herrick weaves an incoherent tapestry of pseudo-history that manages to sew Columbus’s “first encounter” to the experiences that colonialists had with the Native Americans in what would become Jersey City.
