Received two tickets for parking without valid permit in one day, hours from one another, curious if I would be able to fight one of the tickets? I don’t see how receiving two tickets for the same infraction hours within one another is fair? I was also not the only car on the street to get two tickets for it either.

If anyone has any experience or any advice would love to know!

I have had success in a similar situation, but the two tickets were issued less than an hour apart, that was excessive, one was dismissed. So it may depend on how far apart those tickets are.

Did you have a valid parking permit?

You were probably in a two hour non-resident zone, they'll have proof that you were there two hours prior to the first ticket and the next ticket was because you didn't move for at least another two hours.

You might be able to plead it down to one ticket with the prosecutor, but that doesn't seem worth the hassle to me, even if it is a zoom call.

It sucks, it was probably an easy second ticket to issue, but if this wasn't enforced the whole city would become a park and ride for Manhattan.
