About to move into an apartment on 1 Henry St. wondering what I can expect in terms of nose from the PATH trains near by. The construction is solid brick so that makes me feel better. Anyone can share their experience?

I live right there, even more in earshot of the path. It's not that bad, I never notice the sound of the Path except for sometimes at night when they blow air horns to signal each other while they are switching out cars but even then I only hear it during the spring when I have my windows open. So, nothing to be worried about and welcome to the neighborhood!

There will be a lot of train noise, but probably not much or any rail squeal in this area. Mostly just the wheels.

You might hear them when they blow their horn as they are about to exit the tunnel.

Thank you so much for your response. I’m planning on going there and observing for a bit before I sign the lease. Really appreciate your response.

Welcome to the neighborhood. I've lived on the same block for 20+ years, a bit farther west towards Chestnut. You will notice the train noise, at first. After a short time, you'll be oblivious to it. I never notice the horn blowing. To be honest, it's not an issue. Those douchebags with the fart cars on Newark will be way more noticeable. Feel free to private message me if you need any information on the neighborhood.
