It is mind-boggling we don't already have more integrated services between all the towns and cities in Hudson County. Home rule is one of NJ's worst pecadillos.

New Jersey has too many towns and cities. Hoboken should be absorbed by Jersey City. Union City, North Bergen, Weehawken and Gutenberg should be one entity.

It's fucking stupid they won't and serves to only prove its a cash cow for corrupt individuals.

All of Hudson County should be one entity. It would be almost identical to San Francisco in size and population.

They don’t want that, the more towns means more money and more ways to make it disappear.
There’s a 10 block city in the middle of west new York that has no need.

You don't have to tell me. I've lived here most of my life. Hudson County needs to consolidate into one. Anything else is stupid and pointless

I realized recently that Gutenberg is literally like 5 blocks long lmao

This is a ridiculous suggestion. We should petition to split the fire department off into its own township! /S

Most of Gutenberg lives in two 1970s concrete towers.

All of Hudson county should merge into one and become Hudson, NJ.

What's wrong with just keeping it all Jersey City?

Well this way you get buy-in from the other towns/boroughs. They would still retain their town names but be one muni entity like NYC.

That's ridiculous. Especially with a town name like "West New York"

Boston, too. Nearly identical size and pop.
