Crazy. Can't wait to do my shopping and carry my groceries and new basket back home.

It's just amazing how many people feel free to just take these home. The Home Depot stopped having baskets for this reason, fortunately they have 5 gal buckets by the door that I use when I'm shopping light. Perhaps SR should explore some SR branded buckets, they might not wander away as fast as baskets.

Stolen from Hoboken’s Trader Joe’s, where There’s six baskets in total.

Saw these on Tuesday and kept thinking they won't last long. People are trash.

Are there like smart locks on them? Just wondering what their strategy is to keep the baskets in the store.

I don't want to shop there... I'd rather carry my groceries from Manhattan than shop there.

What do people do with these baskets?

So walking out with the basket isn't stealing because it's not for sale?

Home Depot has such a problem with people walking out with power tools right past the employees that they're implementing a system where the tools need to be activated digitally at checkout to be able to work.

Never crossed my mind why there were no baskets at the store. And I never use the carts cause of the geofence and b/c they’re one wheelie away from not existing.

They budget out for shrink. Most profitable stores have a decent budget for losses. If they want to replace them, it comes out of that budget.

I'm not openly condoning, relieving Home Depot of their overpriced and fisherprice quality tools. I'm only saying that if someone whisked away all the power tools from every home depot, I wouldn't lose any sleep.
