This is pretty standard for businesses. Having good reviews and scores on things like Google, Yelp, Trust Pilot, etc. is pivotal to their success as a business

Perhaps, but the practices described corrupt the flow of free information that is necessary for an efficient market, and they are also against Google and FTC policy.

Yea. Every restaurant seems to have one of those cards to leave good Yelp reviews, Amazon orders, etc etc.
Even mobile apps ask if you’ll give them a positive review.
