I’ve been looking for another weather app that has better widgets than the stock app and came across Weawow. It seems to be a big hit with the Android crowd but doesn’t get much hype over here for whatever reason.

I promise I’m not trying to shill this app, but it seems to be pretty great. There’s a ton of customization to it and you can even customize the widgets to your liking. It’s completely free with no ads from what I can see, and you can get Foreca source if you donate. I unlocked it with a $2 donation.

Another app that I found that I’ve been enjoying is Weather Fit. The main goal of this app is to give you ideas on how to dress for the weather. I don’t really use it for that, I just like the widgets lol. https://i.imgur.com/CM3ObOr.jpg

Ugh, but an ugly app privacy report for that one. Data used to track you, including location. I haven't used Weawow, but that one has a good app privacy report.

Wouldn’t it need you location to recommend clothing for your current area?

Right. Most weather apps are most useful when they have your location. The issue is that they are linking the location to tracking you specifically, which they share with third parties (e.g., they sell the info to ad brokers). WeaWow tracks location, but not linked specifically to you.

Are there any weather apps that have a clear widget?

Sorry I don’t know, however I do know you can get a clear widget with the app Widgy but I think it requires basically using a screenshot of your phone background to achieve the effect.
