Last night my iPhone got stolen at a club. At some point they turned it off but it’s still showing the location even if the phone is off. Right now I can see they moved the phone to location relatively close to me like three hours ago! But I cannot get to make the phone ring from the Find my app. What should I do? Please help I am desperate.

It’s off. It won’t ring.

If your phone was stolen, report it to the police and ask them to retrieve it.

Remote erased the device so they can’t use it

Let’s hope you get that phone back soon. If you don’t, you’re eventually gonna have to remote wipe it unless you want your information out there but it’s going to be useless to the thief because it’s iCloud locked.

More recent iPhone models can report their location even while turned off, as long as there is someone else near it with a turned on iPhone. It sounds a bit like this has happened.

Be careful of phishing messages from the thief that they may send you, if they message you "your iphone has been found, see live location" that is a phishing attempt from the thief to take your phone off activation lock.
