Does the “accidental damage” include water damage? Like if I dropped my phone in the ocean, could I bring it to apple and pay the 99$ and get a new or refurbished one?

I find it hard to believe that they didn't accept the most common accidental damage as accidental damage.

Oh they did, but you had to pay an arm and a leg and maybe a heart to pay to get it fixed cause it wasn’t covered. Now thankfully it is!

I rang and talked to Apple and asked if screens were covered under AppleCare and they said yes. I asked how much to replace my 14ProMax screen and they quoted $650 (Australian)if I didn’t have AppleCare so I purchased it🤷‍♂️

Yeah it’s worth paying $10(usd) a month and paying $99(usd) to replace the screen instead of pretty much the price of the phone.

Has it not been covered for years?

No, as far as I remember when I had an Apple product before broken screens were not covered and you had to pay a lot to get the screen fixed which is why everyone was all crazy about screen protectors. Now if it breaks, oh well, $100 to fix it.
