Yeah I’m sure it is. I have the 12 pro max, but long story short I have to switch carriers and I can’t bring my 12 pro max. The carrier is having a promotion on basically all phones except the pro models. That’s why I’m gonna have to go with the 14 plus. It’s pretty much the same size, but the pricing isn’t— in this instance.

Honestly the two phones are so similar I don’t think there’s any point upgrading unless you’re quite literally getting the phone for free. You could argue in fact that the 12 Pro Max is actually the better phone out of the two.

I’d stick with the 12 and go with a sim-only plan. Not much point going with a 14 Plus unless you’re upgrading from something older like a 7 or 8 Plus.

I actually wanted to do that, because it’s a great phone and I don’t want to change it. I don’t really want to get into the whole story, but it’s much cheaper for me to switch carriers and get a new phone. The 12 pro max is sim locked to a different carrier and they won’t unlock it. I can in fact get the iPhone 14 pro max, but I really don’t need all of those crazy features nor do I need the the price increase. I just like the big screen.

Really the main issue with the Plus is that it’s dreadfully expensive for what it is. Besides that it’s an entirely competent phone.

If it was my money I’d look into unlocking again. Most companies have fairly lax policies nowadays if the phone has been paid off, especially if you have an account with the company.
