I just got a new 14 Pro a few days ago. The first couple days were fine. I'm normally connected to wifi when at home and then obviously the phone should switch to mobile data when not on wifi. Today I got in my car and drove away. The phone showed that I was connected to the mobile LTE network but I could not connect to any apps or any websites in the browser. After rebooting the phone everything connected again. It's weird that it only happens once in a while. But I did some online searching and it seems that many people have had this problem dating back to iOS 12. Has anyone ever figured out a solution?

Did you update to the latest iOS version? The biggest issues with new devices at launch in my experience are always with cellular acting strange and that tends to get fixed with the newer updates.

I'm on iOS 16.2 which is what came preinstalled on the phone.

try 16.3, just dropped today, and see if there's still an issue. Otherwise I'd look into getting it exchanged, could be some hardware fluke.

Similar issue on iPhone 14 Pro Max and didn't get fixed with 16.3 update - Genius Bar noted it's because I have a VPN installed (which I don't believe) - at least I feel a bit of comfort that I'm not the only one experiencing this!

Their other recommendation was to reset all network settings - will see if that makes a difference

How often do you have this problem? So far it only happened to me on 1 day (twice on the same day). I went into the Cellular settings and turned off Wifi Assist. Not sure if that made a difference or maybe it's just a coincidence, but I have not had the problem since changing that setting. I would also note that my provider is Verizon. Not sure if this is a carrier specific issue.

I'm in Canada, so different provider, and recently switched carriers - so it happened before and after. Also on 16.2 and 16.3 - so no clear pattern. I still have WiFi assist on currently.
