No app, my phone used to do it any time it was orientation unlocked and upside down. It was great when i wanted to charge my phone while using it because I could just flip it and give the cord more leeway.

I brought my iphone from another version of this universe where it could turn upside down but apparently here it never was a thing.

A different thing that WAS a thing on some older iPhones is landscape home screen. On the Face ID iPhones that's not a thing.

Is that when I remember putting the phone in the cupholder upside down so the cord wouldn't get messed up? Touch ID era phones? It has been a while I guess.

my dad has a X and he would frequently use it upside down from the moment it was out of his pocket, not just in one app. i know this bc it annoyed me.

The iPhone X never worked upside down he probably had it in his phone upside down
