Delete the E-Sim in settings

The secondary is from my old carrier and was on a physical Sim.

Turning on and off the secondary seems to have stopped the issue.

Yeah. I have one for AT&T and one for T-Mobile.

Delete the second eSIM profile.

Then set your eSIM as primary and should be fine.

Did remove the old physical SIM?

Does having 2 sims drain your battery faster?

Yeah one home country sim that I use when traveling and one for the US

I’m in that exact same situation… :) Sometimes, that is, but still annoying.

In my experience it does not.

Business and personal , I run a business and when it comes to attaching my number to banks or something, I definitely am not going to give out my business number as my authentication factor

Remove the SIM card.

One for personal one for work.

Turn the work one off after hours.

If they want me to answer work messages after offoce hours i expect them to pay me extra.

So I’ve never realized having two sims was a thing now. I have an AT&T personal iPhone 12 Pro Max and and iPhone XR work phone. I currently have it set up so all my work calls are forwarded to personal number. Is it possible to put both sims on personal phone? Could I convert my ATT sim to an esim and simply put my work sim in and have access to both? If I did this could I make calls from either number of I wanted to? Could I also send and receive texts from either number? Or am I better off the way it’s setup now with call forwarding in place?

+1. Didn't even think about draining battery. Everything was normal.

When traveling to different country, I just go to nomad app and install an esim for destination country. Costs me $15 or so. Gets me through the trip.

Nomad is great. Data got a lot cheaper where I live but it used to be costly. It was always cheaper just to get Nomad esims when needed.

Having 2 sims on at once does impact battery though. Also if your workphone has remote monitoring tools you would now have those installed on your personal phone.

What kind of battery impact are we talking about?

Pretty small in whole.

No noticeable difference in mine.

This I what I was afraid of coming from a Note 10 plus. But I’m super happy with my iPhone 14 pro battery. The Samsung one had to be charged like 3 times a day ..
