What do you mean out of nowhere? Does it play automatically when you open the app? Or when you connect AirPods…?

I get it. Apple CarPlay has tended to do that with music unexpectedly playing.

Mine will occasionally do it when I put in AirPods and click the play pause button, if it can’t find the last app open it just goes to Apple Music

I too would like to know this. It pisses me off! Especially since I don’t even use Apple Music

Coming from Android 6 months ago I still use YT Music. Drives me insane that as soon as I connect to my cars Bluetooth it starts Apple Music instead of YT Music. Lol. I’ve deleted the Apple Music app but now it just won’t start anything. I have to manually start YTM and even then it loses where I’m at. So annoying.

Uninstalling Apple Music worked for me. I mostly use Spotify, but Apple Music was still the “default” audio app. After deleting the app, Spotify comes up more often when i press my AirPods button or connect to my car bluetooth. Or sometimes nothing happens. But it definitely isn’t that one song from Apple Music!

That’s is true.

I use Spotify, and Apple Music kept appearing on my Lock Screen, etc. I tried every possible setting and finally asked here: someone told me to remove the Apple Music app and problem solved.
