I know, just wanted to say vanish to make it sound more interesting. The odd part is I know I haven’t dropped it at all recently and I noticed it this morning. I know it wasn’t there yesterday too. Even an Apple Technician I messaged through Apple Support earlier was surprised.

I've seen maybe two or three other cases on here too and all of which was not their fault.
I think it's just something that happens and you just happen to be the unlucky one that it happened to.
Warranty should 100% cover that, even just standard warranty.

I purchased the 14 Pro Max and decided to go with apple care. I was starting to regret buying the $200 Plan but seeing this makes me feel a little better. I'm still waiting for it to ship but I am coming from a 6S+. Having the back be glass makes me worry about it cracking even with a case on.

Wow, from a 6S Plus? It’s going to be a great upgrade for you - enjoy the phone. AppleCare+ seems like a hefty amount to pay, but when an accident occurs, you can rest assured it’ll be taken of.

That’ll be a maaaasive upgrade for you, fingers crossed that you’ll never have to utilize the plan. I’ve always thought it’s good to have it as a backup and for the first time, it’s good I had it this time around lol. Hope it arrives soon for you!

Something happened. You can see some chipping on the sides of the lenses and a small dent on the top lens

Had a similar thing happen to my 13 PM about a year ago.
It’s gonna require a new “back” they said, my phone ended up with a new serial number and everything. And I had to reactivate eSim and set it up as a new phone.
I’d definitely do a backup before you go.

I would be sure to check that particular lens when/if they fix it.

This is a feature, to make the lens extra transparent, upto 50% improvement in photo quality compared to 13 Pro, 20000times better than iphone 4

Just so this doesn’t happen as easily again I had a camera module glass protecter that I’d assume they make for the 14s, although mine didn’t last very long before it cracked

Looks like it broke rather then 'vanish'
