So I bought an iPhone 14 pro max on pre order and received it on release day. I came from an 11pro and some initial thoughts on the 14pm was that I love the screen size increase and camera quality. IMO iOS 16 is the main qualm I have with the phone as it’s not as polished and even though the bugs are small they frequent.

I consider my self a very light user. The phone has never been below 20% and most days I recharge via MagSafe or a 5w Apple charger at night with about 70% or more left on the phone.

I’m not really a tech person so I mostly use the phone for browsing Reddit and taking pictures so I was surprised with the drop after only 2mo.

  1. Any of y’all’s release day 14s already drop in battery health?

  2. How has iOS 16 been treating you? 2.1) Compared to previous iOS releases?

This must be a joke question for sure… hundreds??? iOS 16 is the buggiest thing I remember since iOS 11. Full of small glitches. Graphic issues. Apps not behaving properly… I mean I really enjoy the phone but it is not the most polished experience right now and to say that iOS 16 is flawless would be lying

I also have a pre-ordered 14PM and it just recently dropped to 99%. I’m pretty sure it’s normal, so try to not worry too much about it.

The problems/bugs with iOS 16 however… I’ve had myself plenty of issues with apps crashing in a weird way and bad performance. Best we can do right now is just hope they will fix it soon with an update

Yea it’s hard to pin point a specific issue but not being as polished is the best way to put it.

My most prominent issue is heating. Random times I’ll feel the processor get warm with light use whereas my 11pro would have been ice cold.

I’m in the same boat except I got my phone 2 weeks after launch day. I consider myself a light to moderate user. I don’t play games or watch countless videos, and I uninstalled TikTok just because of the time suck that it can be. I just checked and my health is now 98%. I’m also not running beta software and have analytics turned off. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great phone, but I’m not buying the hype of the improved battery life.

Got my 14PM 2 weeks after release and just checked it’s still 100%. I don’t think it should be dropping yet surely? I hardly look at battery health though. People are obsessed with it.
