Pretty much what the tittle says. I've been an android user for the last 10 years (maybe 9) and I'm getting tired of buying the best android phone out there and still get stutters or non fluid animations bcs of bad system optimization, or at least that's what I think it's the problem. My main reason to switch to ios would be literally that, don't want to experience any more stutter or lag or micro lags that make things not smooth. I'm aware of some of the pros and cons of switching. Is it a good idea? Will this "issue" get solved?

Literally never, not once in my life used an ios device so feel free to talk me as if I was dumb (I am).

Android user here, but I've used an iPhone for a few days a few years ago while I was in-between phones:

It is so much more smooth. I think it can be closely mimicked by having a high refresh-rate display on an Android phone, but iPhone just feels so much more fluid and snappy. Haptics are night and day, too.

Really, the only reason that I didn't stick with the iPhone was because I wasn't really ready to make the switch. There were a few dumb design decisions that I couldn't really stand, but they're not dealbreakers for most people. I would say go for it - if you don't like it, Apple's return policy is pretty generous. I'm thinking about getting an iPhone as my next phone in a few years; Android is just disappointing and half-baked to me, anymore.

Problem with Android is that the OS has to work with every manufacturer’s phone, hence the differences in optimization and performance quality.

Apple doesn’t have that problem because iOS only has to work with one phone.

My iPhone pro max 14 stutters. iMessages freezes frequently and I feel like I’m working with one hand tied behind my back when trying to be productive. Years ago I would have agreed with “it just works”. It last couple years has been the opposite for me.

I've seen lots of people complaining about this same thing on the 14 pro or pro max. Could it be that the dynamic island is causing some problem? Maybe ios 16? Idk, whenever I see someone had a problem or a bug on his iPhone it's on the 14 series. Hope it gets better for u with coming updates :) .

Totally agree on that. I would love to see idk a galaxy OS for Samsung por example, it's ridiculous that every existing phone company except Apple uses th SAME OS. They won't ever get the same optimization on Android as on IOS and I've just realized of that a few time ago.

iMessage freezing was happening on my 13 Pro Max too, so I’m thinking it’s an iOS 16 bug. The other random freezes weren’t though. A friend of mine has a 14 pro max and Wi-Fi does work good at all either.
