Reply to comment by HeroHeroHero0428 in Hey! Anyone saw similar issue and know how to solve it? I’m on vacation without access to any service. It’s iPhone 12. It didn’t fall or anything, it happened out of nowhere while surfing the net. by Fit_Extension_1838
That's why I clarified it with: "to listen to music". I knew Redditors would take this an entirely different way lol

No idea. People who don’t know that electronics + water don’t mix well. Or people who can’t go 5 minutes without listening to music lol.

You know all iPhones made in the last few years are waterproof and totally submersible...right?

They’re obviously advertised as such, yes. Doesn’t mean your phone can’t be damaged by liquid or moisture. And soap isn’t good for your phone either.

Actually it does. My current phone I’m typing this on has been completely submerged several times. Other than the “water detected in charge port, wait to charge” warning, it’s perfectly fine….

Exactly while it should be okay, it doesn’t mean press your luck. My iPhone works more than fine outside the shower on full volume.
